AU3 transforms ambiance-noise to sound.

A resonance-plate receives sound waves and passes them on to one string. An electro-magnetic pickup converted the string-vibrations into electric signals. The signals are amplified and passed on to a line-out, where headphones and recording-devices can be plugged in.

For high mobility AU3 can be disassembled and stored on the suitcase, that contains the amplifier.
