ringtones - for a simulation of possible ringtone-coincidences in public space play several tones simultaneously
How to be part of the MobileSymphony * :
* make sure your phone is able
to play mp3 files as ringtones
Since mobile phones were invented, their ringing has become an inherent part of the sound of public space. Since mobile phones are able to play mp3 files as ringtones the public sound is filled with a accumulation of beeps, rings, chart-hits and whatever sound we put to our phones to draw our attention when someone is calling or texting us. Birds started imitating cellphone-ringtones and some coffee shops please their customers to turn their phones off. Imagine all Phones in your surrounding area would ring in tonal relations to each other.
The MobileSymphony is always created when several phones with MobileSymphony ringtones meet. The MobileSymphony is played everyone calling a phone with a MobileSymphony tone as ringtone. The audience is everyone in range of audibility of the ringing. The more people with MobileSymphony ringtones meet, the more dense appears the MobileSymphony.
Download your tone of the MobileSymphony tone and be part of the show. Or download several tones, exchange them with friends and create your own chamber-concert. Have fun playing!
